Quanasha Starks is a middle school English teacher in Nashville, Tennessee. She attended Alabama A&M University where she received a B.A in Elementary Education. She then went on to receive a M. Ed in Literacy from Middle Tennessee State University.  She is currently a doctoral student at Trevecca Nazarene University, where she will complete her degree in Leadership and Professional Practice in August of 2021.  She spends her time teaching, mentoring, and coaching the youth in the community. She has always been an avid reader and enjoys sharing her passion for literacy with others. In 2019, Quanasha started a book blog to help her friends and family become interested in reading as a leisure activity. In 2020, she began the work of turning her book blog into an 501c3 organization that will help families of color create a culture of literacy in their homes. Quanasha's life purpose is to give children and families the tools they need to live literacy led lives.
